NM & CO visit!

We went to visit one of our friend in Los Alamos, New Mexico on Thanks Giving weekend of last year. We had very pleasant experience on next day while driving to Albuquerque and Santa Fe. The weather was pretty, we went to Colorado Spring other day. It was fun driving. Someone suggest us to go to see the longest suspension bridge of USA while on the way back. But we were late, or may be closed on Thanks Giving day. Anyway we missed it. We are on the way back to Los Alamos, I tried to take a shortcut instead of Highway. My gas was low, town was not nearby, and also jungle on the both side of the road make me thrilled and kind of scary. There was not much traffic on the road, almost empty. Before 30-40 miles to Los Alamos snow start falling. None of us expected snowing weather. It was dark, with low traffic on the country side road. I never drove on the snow, I was scared so as others too; but I tried to calm down. I drove very slow in 1st gear. It took me almost 3 hrs to reach my destination.

Next day I changed my plan to head back home. Because there was more snow predicted on later that day. So, we said goodbye to our friend and headed home. It was snowing while we hit the road, still frighten. A lot of traffic make me felt little comfortable, so I can drive on the track. But you never know. We took a long breath when we were near by our town where there was no sign of snowy weather. It took me almost 10 hrs driving back on 7 hrs route, luckily we came back safe. Our New Mexico and Colorado visit was quite Adventurous for us.

Dallas visit-I

We were in Dallas airport several times in the past, and we saw the view of Dallas by the plane. It took us almost 3 months to visit there after we moved to Texas in July. We were planning to visit on Holidays earlier to, but I was too busy. So, we need some excuse to visit there. Finally Chandra had to go to see the Doctor in Dallas. She had laser eye surgery back in May. She has to do follow up visit to the eye center which was not available here in Lubbock. So I took a day off from my job and drove to Dallas. It was 6 hrs drive from here. We left town around 2:30 PM. It was not that busy highway until we took I-20. When we reached closer to Fortworth, the highway became kayos. Overhead bridges, highways with 5-6 lanes and I was driving for the first time made me nervous. We were almost lost, but final got to the destination to Kamala's aprtment closer to the Dallas downtown.

They (Chandra & Kamala)were roommate at Maharajgunj Campus. Both of them were excited to see each other after a long time. She had a boy (3-4 months old). They talked until late night about their past. If I didn't interrupted they would talk all night long for sure. Anyway it was great pleasant for me also to seeing her classmate. She told me her story over and over, how they lived together, how they argued and didn't talk for several days...blah blah blah... all the old stuff. It is for sure she told me the truth about her past life. I don't have to verify, I believed her anyway.

Next day Chandra had doctor's appointment. We went Dallas to Plano. There are several toll roads, mostly exit & entry. We lost one exit, and have make turnaround to get there. We don't have to wait to the doctor's office. And the good news was her progress of the vision was more than expectation. So we were happy to see that result. We bought some gift for Kamala and her son from Target Supercenter which is closer to the Doctor's office. On the way back we were thinking to buy some more things, but I was scared to be lost...

Remaining on next post. Plz check it back.

NCZOO!

Memorial weekend went absolute way that I was expected. We went to Asheboro zoo. It was amazing trip. I'd nice experiance at Jawalakhel Zoo, but NCZOO is totally different. The animals habitat is awesome. They keep them at their own habitat. It looks much better than the cage. The only thing you might complaint about the size of the zoo. It is too big, and you need to walk all the way from North American side to African to see the animals one by one. The ride may help you for some way but you can't see them all. Food is also expensive than other places. So we didn't bought any food except water. We took our lluh on the way back home. We went there on the memorial holiday, so it was pretty much crowded. I had hard time to find the parking space too. It was whole new experianced to me. We really enjoyed.
